Overview
Fort Augustus Golf Club was laid out in 1924 by the renowned golf course architect Harry Colt.
Set on the banks of the Caledonian Canal near Loch Ness, this heathland course is widely considered to be one of the most challenging 9 holes in Scotland.
Accurate driving is the key to success on this course, with dense gorse and heather lining the long narrow fairways.
In addition to this, the sloping underlating greens vary in speed depending on the changeable weather conditions, making this course a great challenge for all levels of golfer.
