Mount Juliet Golf Club Overview

Overview

Designed by the legendary Jack Nicklaus, Mount Juliet Golf Club in County Kilkenny has been voted the best parkland golf club in Ireland.

The golf course has hosted a number of major golf events including the World Golf Championship - American Express Championship in October 2004, the Irish Opens of 1993-95 and the Shell Wonderful World of Golf match between Tom Watson and Fred Couples in 1998.

There are a number of memorable holes at Mount Juliet. The 3rd is a stunning par 3 which begins from an elevated tee, and ends at a green guarded by a natural stream and lake. The par 5 10th hole tests a golfer's shot strategy as they negotiate the copse of trees. To end the round, golfers have a long par 4 which includes a water hazard on the left and a narrow approach to the green.
