Overview
First opening for play as a nine hole golf course in 1897, Hankley Common Golf Club became a full 18 hole course in 1922 with input from famous golf architect James Braid.
The golf course and surrounding area are classified as 'an area of special scientific interest' which makes for a memorable experience. A variety of wildlife can often be found on the course and fairways are enhanced by Scots Pine, Oak and Silver Birch trees.
General costs
Weekdays: £75 per round, £85 for whole day.
Weekends: £85 per round (afternoons only)
Visitors
Visitors welcome, afternoons only on weekends.
Societies
Societies are welcome at Hankley Common.
Restaurant
Dining room can accomodate upto 100 people and throughout the day a selection of hot meals and sandwiches are available.
